Valentines Day Cards
My friend Resa and I are going to have a card making class on Monday night to promote stress reduction. It works for me.
I have designed a couple of valentines day cards that use the dollar acrylic stamps that I found at Joann's. I just love these little stamps and much easier to store than the wood mounted stamps.
We have had the card classes several times and they have been well attended. We do not sell anything just teach people new card techniques and help them reduce their stress but working with something they enjoy. I will try to get pictures and post.

The first card used ruby red and white cards stock from Stampin Up along with black, and ruby red ink colors and the stamp Love. The second card used the ruby red and cream card stock along with ribbon and a gold bead that I created. I made the corner attachments from a star punch that I have.
Now for my Punch paper creations
Here are a few cards that I used my paper punches to create some unique cards. Can you tell that I was stuck in the yellow and black color scheme?
The first card is made with nothing more than a round punch. I punched out many circles and then inserted the round circle back into the punch and rounded the edges to make the petals of the sunflower.
The second card is made from a sizzix star punch. I just love my sizzix. The group that I work with gave it to me for Christmas.
I also made this Valentines day card with my sizzix basket and a small heart punch with a decorative heart paper for contrast
Cards from things around the house
I needed a recipe holder for green bean casserole and wanted to create something different to present this to a friend. So I decided to take a label off of a green bean can to create one. I used green, red and yellow card stock and attached the label. So easy. I then attached the recipe for the green bean casserole to the inside.

Check out my altered art book
I just love working with copies of old pictures and altering them. I found somewhere out on the web that you could use brown paper bags to make books. Maybe I saw it on ebay, I am really not sure. Oh well, that does not matter just the fact that I sat down and and started working on the project. It was so much fun. I made six little cards that fit inside the sleeves of the bags. Here are pictures of some of the pages that I made. I struggled for awhile to figure out how to get the paper bags to stay in place, so my solution was a rubber band until I could get them all tied together with yarn.

Pretty Ladies
I just love these cute little tag cards. The pictures are by Harrison Fisher. There is a CD of 100 of his fine ladies and you can find it on the internet. Can you tell that I buy a few of my items off of the big interent auction site. I have started working with beads and things. Feathers have become really important in my card making, well for the time being. I found old earrings to help embellish the cards. I am just having fun and reducing my stress by being creative in my basement card "shop".

Winning the Congress
Well, here is the picture of Ernie (Ima Poco Supreme) and I winning the Quarter Horse Congress. That is my husband, dad and two sisters on the left and myself and trainers on the right.
Isn't Ernie such a pretty boy and such a camera ham?
